Fancy Toast

Fancy Toast

What better way to love on yourself or your beloved than creating something beautiful, nourishing, and delicious?! Fancy toasts are a fun way to bring joy to your weekend brunch or a quick moment of pleasure for any day of the week. You can make fancy toasts with so many different bases and topping combinations that you probably already have on hand. We have a love-affair with adding edible flowers, of course!

Yield: Makes 1 serving of toast

 Ingredients

1 slice bread of choice

1/4 cup whole milk ricotta

2 tsp hibiscus or rose powder

2 large strawberries, washed + stems removed

2 raspberries, washed + cut in half lengthwise

Whipped cream (optional)

Mini Chocolate Chips (to taste)

Fresh mint

Edible glitter (optional)

Preparation

1. Toast your preferred slice of bread until golden.

2. In a small bowl, mix the ricotta and hibiscus powder until well combined.

3. Cut a triangle out of the top of the strawberries and slice thin lengthwise. When the slices pull apart there should be heart shapes!

4. Cut a triangle out of the top of the raspberries (they should already be sliced in half lengthwise ) to form the heart shape pieces.

5. Add a smear of the ricotta mixture to the top of the toasted bread. Get creative with the remaining ingredients! Top with heart shaped strawberry and raspberry slices, whipped cream, chocolate chips, fresh mint, and a sprinkle of edible glitter.
